Job summary

University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF) is seeking a part-time Social Media Marketing Intern to support day-to-day management of the college’s social channels. The role includes content creation, event coverage, and community engagement across platforms.

The candidate should be enrolled as a UNF student, have good academic standing, and be available at least one shift per week, including some evenings or weekends. This position is onsite and may extend beyond school hours as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled as a UNF student during the entire contract.
  • Completion of at least one full-time term.
  • Preference for a 70% cumulative average.
  • Available for at least 1 shift per week; evenings/weekends as scheduled.
  • Student has not exceeded a six-month term in any dept; needs 3-month break between employments.
  • Eligible to work in Canada (citizen or valid work permit).
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement social media campaigns aligned with brand standards and goals.
  • Manage social accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok) to boost engagement.
  • Write, edit, and schedule social media content.
  • Create visual assets using Canva and other tools.
  • Attend events/webinars to generate content, possibly evenings/weekends.
  • Conduct campus tours.
  • Demonstrate high-quality photography.
  • Edit photos using Photoshop or Canva.
  • Keep up with trends to drive new initiatives.
  • Distribute university SWAG and marketing materials.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.
