Job summary

DCM in Mississauga is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our print and fulfilment plant. You will ensure safe, efficient, and productive operations while guiding Prepress, Press, Bindery and Shipping teams and partnering with the General Manager to improve systems and reduce costs.

This onsite role runs Monday to Friday at the Tristar location. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement, manage budgets, coach staff, and uphold quality and safety programs to deliver

Qualifications

• Diploma in Print Production, Administration, or a related program.
• 10+ years in a people management role, including supervisor or plant management in litho printing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; D365 is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work with staff at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations across Prepress, Press, Bindery, and Shipping to meet specs and timelines.
• Serve as Operations SME: create purchase orders, perform calculations, support scheduling.
• Drive continuous improvement in equipment efficiency, quality, waste reduction, and costs.
• Meet gross margin objectives by reviewing data and taking corrective action.
• Assist GM with departmental budgets and resource planning.
• Lead, coach, and motivate supervisors and staff to achieve goals.
• Manage personnel administration including ADP time, hiring, onboarding, evaluations, compensation, and relations.
• Promote safe workplace by supporting safety programs and EH&S meetings.
