Job summary

Johnson Electric is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Technician in Mississauga, Ontario, on-site. You will maintain, refurbish, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and facility systems, and support the assembly, debugging, installation, and start-up of new or modified equipment.

Your hands-on expertise across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC/CNC control systems will drive quality, efficiency, and manufacturing performance in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of hands-on experience repairing and maintaining CNC machining and automated assembly applications.
• Hands-on technical skills across mechanical assembly, machine repair, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with PLC/CNC-based control and logic systems.
• Understanding of automotive systems and QS9000 quality requirements.
• Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, refurbish, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and facility systems.
• Support mechanical assembly, electrical installation, debugging, and start-up of new or modified equipment.
• Collaborate with teams to implement production machinery for new projects.
• Maintain quality and efficiency targets.
• Comply with ISO/IATF 16949 maintenance requirements.
• Maintain housekeeping and project organization in maintenance.
