Job summary

Pure Environmental Waste Management is hiring an Engineering Project Manager in Calgary, AB to lead engineering and capital projects from concept through handover. You’ll manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk while coordinating with engineering, operations, and external partners to deliver safe, compliant facilities.

You’ll oversee planning, procurement, construction, and commissioning, ensuring alignments with regulatory requirements and company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Environmental, Electrical, or related).
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience leading or delivering engineering, capital, industrial, infrastructure, energy, environmental, or construction projects.
• Proven ability to manage projects through multiple phases, from concept and engineering through construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder‑management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and capital projects from concept through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, start‑up, and handover.
• Own project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risk, quality, and execution.
• Develop execution plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, vendors, and partners.
• Ensure deliverables meet objectives, regulatory requirements, constructability, operability, cost, and schedule.
• Monitor progress and financial performance, identify and address risks and changes.
• Oversee procurement, contractor execution, construction, commissioning, and start‑up activities.
• Collaborate with Operations and field teams to ensure practical, maintainable engineering solutions.
• Lead resolution of technical/operational challenges with field personnel.
• Maintain project documentation, KPIs, and leadership communication.
