Job summary

NB Power is seeking a Construction Manager to lead a major power generation and grid infrastructure project on site in New Brunswick. The role focuses on safe, organized site execution and close coordination with contractors and project teams.

Ideal candidates bring five+ years of leadership in construction and eight+ years in generation turbine installation, with a valid driver’s license and strong communication. Bilingual French/English is a plus.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressively responsible construction leadership experience.
• Eight years of field experience in generation/combustion turbine installation.
• Experience managing site activities and providing construction oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead site mobilization and construction execution planning.
• Coordinate daily site activities, oversee contractors, and facilitate site meetings.
• Track construction progress, flag risks, and report updates to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate materials and equipment with site leads and planning teams.
• Monitor workmanship, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain site safety, security, environmental protection, and quality requirements.
• Manage field changes within established processes and escalate impacts.
• Support stakeholder communication and project closeout.
