Job summary

Skillhub Solutions Inc. in Rusagonis, NB, is seeking a Construction Manager for a temporary project to oversee the construction of a new switching station, yard, control building, and related infrastructure. The role requires leadership on industrial construction and coordination with multiple stakeholders.

You will plan mobilization, supervise contractors, monitor schedule adherence, manage risks, ensure safety, and coordinate materials and equipment while reporting to the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• At least five years of progressively responsible leadership on construction projects.
• At least eight years of field experience in an industrial environment.
• Direct construction management experience including civil and electrical work.
• Valid driver's licence.
• NB Power experience preferred; English-French bilingual ability is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Plan site mobilization and construction execution, and coordinate site activities.
• Supervise contractors and hold regular site meetings.
• Monitor progress against the construction schedule and report to the Project Manager.
• Ensure work quality, identify and resolve deficiencies, and enforce site safety and security requirements.
• Coordinate materials and equipment with planners and workgroup supervisors.
• Identify change requests and escalate changes affecting scope, cost, or schedule.
• Ensure environmental and quality-control requirements are followed, and assist with project closeout.

Location: Megan Court, Rusagonis, New Brunswick

Duration: November 16, 2026 to February 15, 2027

Hours: Approximately 48 per week. Work may be intermittent, with an expected schedule of 8–10-hour days, 5–6 days per week, as needed.

Project

Oversee construction for a new switching station, including a new yard, control building, steel lattice switch structure, switching equipment, breaker, potential transformers, and radio tower.
