Job summary

Zekelman Industries in Woodstock, ON is seeking a Community Maintenance Manager to ensure safety, efficiency and a welcoming environment for our community facilities. You will lead maintenance staff, coordinate with vendors, and oversee preventive programs to optimize resources and resident satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, planning, and technical expertise in maintenance management, with hands-on, fast-paced operations in an onsite setting.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance management or a similar role, including supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in facilities management or a related field preferred.
• Proficient in maintenance strategies, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Skilled in budget management and preventive maintenance planning.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Capable of analyzing maintenance data to drive continuous improvement.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Reviews job orders to determine work priorities and effectively allocates resources.
• Schedules and oversees repair and maintenance of equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Conducts regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and prioritize tasks.
• Develops and implements preventive maintenance programs to enhance safety and efficiency.
• Plans and improves operational procedures to optimize resource utilization.
• Monitors quality control and maintenance reports to guide decision-making.
• Collaborates with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services and contract negotiations.
• Assists in preparing and monitoring the maintenance budget and controlling expenditures.
• Fosters positive relationships with residents and resolves maintenance-related concerns.
• Leads and promotes safe work practices in compliance with regulatory standards.
