Job summary

School District 71 (Comox Valley) invites applications for a 0.60 FTE Online Learning Grade 5-9 Generalist Teacher. The successful candidate will blend online and in-person instruction to support diverse learners and collaborate with families and colleagues.

Responsibilities include designing engaging online courses, providing tutorial support, and using Brightspace, MyEd, Seesaw, Zoom and Teams to deliver flexible, student-centered learning across a province-wide footprint, with on-site duties

Qualifications

• Ability to create and manage online courses, assignments, assessments and resources incorporating current pedagogical frameworks (i.e. project based, personalized).
• Ability to work with and provide tutorial support for students online and in person.
• Ability to support students with course adaptations and I.E.P.s.
• Proficiency with Brightspace, MyEd, Seesaw, Mathletics and conferencing tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver online and face-to-face instruction to multi-age groups.
• Develop and maintain online curriculum and supporting materials.
• Collaborate with families and staff to support student success.
• Utilize learning analytics to inform instruction and personalize learning.
