Qualifications

• Experience teaching Indigenous language and related courses.
• Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis on second language acquisition desirable.
• Master’s Degree in Indigenous Education/Indigenous Language desirable.
• Deep understanding of Indigenous language revitalization practices, including language rooted in land, culture and relationships.
• Lived experience with language learning, teaching or revitalization within community valued.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare learning materials for instructional environments.
• Use varied approaches and materials to address different learning needs.
• Teach in assigned subject areas and include required subject matter in courses.
• Direct student learning in a positive, supportive environment.
• Be available to students during office hours and discuss progress.
