AbbVoe Canada is seeking to hire an Oncology Therapeutic Specialist to join our commercial sales team. Ideally, this role will be based in Quebec City and will cover Quebec City and Quebec East. The focus will be on Oncologists treating Solid Tumors.

The Oncology Therapeutic Specialist will develop strategic business plans to execute brand strategies and tactics, deliver sales performance, and build strong customer relationships. They will support customer needs to maximize sales while prioritizing patient-centered care and adhering to AbbVie's policies and legal standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Achieve sales targets, brand KPIs, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed business goals.
  2. Create pre-call plans and conduct post-call evaluations to improve sales effectiveness. Handle objections logically and rationally to close sales.
  3. Support key stakeholders' needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and partnerships.
  4. Implement regional account plans to meet metrics and optimize customer coverage, maximizing sales opportunities.
  5. Continuously gather and share market intelligence on customer needs, territory landscape, patient journeys, competitors, and market dynamics to align and adapt strategies.
  6. Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition and develop disease state experts and advocates to enhance brand performance.
Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Business, or related fields.
  • 3-5 years in a Specialty Sales role within the pharmaceutical industry, with oncology experience, particularly in Solid Tumors, preferred.
  • Strong scientific and therapeutic knowledge in oncology and the Canadian Oncology sector.
  • Proven sales record and excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt sales approach based on customer style and behavior.
  • Recognized expertise in oncology products and market knowledge.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and proficiency with business tools.
  • Effective in a matrix environment, innovative, and responsive to change.
  • Credible, respected, and collaborative among peers.
  • Experience in leadership and support roles with increased responsibility.
  • Ability to leverage findings for sales strategy development.

Essential Skills & Abilities:

  • Fluency in French and English (oral and written).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Comfort with technology and various tools/systems.
  • Availability for evening/weekend work and overnight travel (~20-30%).
  • Valid driver’s license and passport.
