Job summary

Humber River Health is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join the Oncology Medicine Unit. The role involves providing high‑quality nursing care in a fast-paced oncology setting, with evenings, on a rotating schedule, at the Hennick Humber Hospital site in Toronto.

Ideal candidates will hold an RPN diploma, be registered in Ontario, and bring oncology or acute medical/surgical experience. BCLS certification and Meditech familiarity are assets. Diverse, inclusive care is valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized Registered Practical Nursing two year diploma program.
• Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Current DeSouza Oncology Foundations, preferred.
• Current oncology experience, preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to set priorities.
• Experience with patient health teaching.
• Demonstrated adherence to the hospital’s code of conduct.
• Demonstrate competency in intramuscular injections, intravenous therapy, transfusion, wound care, and medication administration.
