Job summary

Interior Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Oncology team at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, BC. You will lead care planning, provide clinical expertise, and collaborate with the healthcare team in a dynamic setting.

The role is a relief part-time (0.50) position with day shifts 08:30–16:30. Requires BC RN registration, Oncology certification, and chemotherapy administration certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved School of Nursing with current BCCNM registration.
• Completion of post-basic Oncology nursing with 2 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Certification in administration of chemotherapeutic agents is required.

Responsibilities

• Set priorities and lead plan of care for oncology patients.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Engage clients and families in care planning and decision-making.
• Coordinate referrals to community health services as needed.
• Participate in rounds and patient care conferences to ensure quality care.
