Job summary

Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Inc. seeks a Medical Science Liaison to provide medical and scientific information on oncology products and inform broader disease state understanding.

This field-based role covers Ontario and Western Canada with travel up to 60-70% and close collaboration with Medical Advisors and commercial teams. The successful candidate will develop KOL relationships, support strategic medical plans, and train SUN staff while ensuring compliance with SOPs.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctorate (MD), PhD or PharmD preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of field medical experience, with experience in Oncology or Immuno-Oncology.
• Minimum Master's degree and/or Health care professional background will be considered.
• Oncology background is required.
• Proven ability to develop and foster peer-to-peer relationship with stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Thorough knowledge of the healthcare system, disease management and medical research.
• Pharmaceutical business and market knowledge and experience considered an asset
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, team, written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent teaching skills and ability to present and discuss scientific material clearly and concisely.
• Strong presentation and education skills; ability to communicate clinical and non-clinical technical information effectively
• Demonstrated project management ability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications

Responsibilities

• Interact with healthcare providers and grow relationships with thought leaders to communicate and advance the scientific platform as aligned with SUN’s corporate goals and objectives.
• Develop strategies to nurture selected healthcare professionals as Key Opinion Leaders based on interest and experience.
• Communicate complex scientific information, provide slides and literature and research concepts to HCPs.
• Territory planning with Medical Advisor and commercial team, adaptable to brand and lifecycle changes.
• Create regional Peer to Peer Engagement plans with Marketing and CME providers and execute on budget.
• Provide internal training and maintain communications with Medical, Brand Team and territory managers.
• Provide clinical and economic value information to thought leaders, payers and formulary decision makers.
• Identify and train SUN speakers' bureau members and update them on new data.
• Respond to ISS proposals and coordinate with Sun for review.
• Support SUN sponsored research and relay field feedback to SUN stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with SUN SOPs and US regulations; maintain professional standards.
• Lead committees or project teams to support MSL strategies and demonstrate SUN values.
