Job summary

Marine Atlantic is seeking a Watchkeeping Engineer (Senior Engineer) to work onboard our vessels operating from Port aux Basques NL, North Sydney NS year round and Argentia NL in summer. This permanent full-time role requires in-person duty across a rotating schedule on our fleet, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Eligible candidates may qualify for a signing incentive, subject to a return of service in the position for a specified period.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years recent experience in a similar position.
• Valid STCW 6.1 and 6.2 Certificates.
• Transport Canada mandated Marine Medical Certificate.
• Must demonstrate ability to lift, handle, and carry heavy objects over 20 kg.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces.
