Variety Village is seeking a Social Media & Digital Content Specialist to lead on-site content creation, multimedia production and social media management for a busy recreation facility in Scarborough. You will craft engaging stories across channels, newsletters and digital platforms, coordinating with internal teams to support campaigns and events.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in digital media, communications, film/video production, journalism or marketing.
• 3–5 years hands-on content production and social media management.
• Portfolio of photography, videography and storytelling.
• Experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Experience managing social channels and analytics.
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills.

Responsabilités

• Plan, script, capture, edit multimedia assets (photos, video, interviews, reels, stories).
• Manage content production from concept to delivery with timelines and QA.
• Identify authentic stories and conduct insightful interviews to build rapport.
• Adapt assets for social media, websites, newsletters and digital ads.
• Create and edit visual materials; coordinate with designers or vendors.
• Ensure content is on-brand, accessible and audience-appropriate.
• Develop editorial calendars and track performance metrics.
