Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Planner/Scheduler will focus on creating and maintaining project plans, updating project reporting, and supporting the project manager and team. They will develop project management processes to ensure consistent reporting during the planning and scheduling phases of projects.

PROJECT DETAILS

  • Projects located in the Fort St. John area
  • Local candidates preferred; non-local candidates will be provided with LOA
  • $500/shift travel allowance
  • 15/6 rotation with potential for longer outage shifts
  • This position is based on site

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Proficient in building, maintaining, and analyzing schedules in P6
  • Support construction in defining scope, constructing schedules, analyzing data, extracting reports, and determining critical paths and milestones
  • Use metrics to monitor progress, forecast costs, analyze productivity, labor rates, change impacts, and material variances; provide status and variance reports
  • Participate in developing project scope, schedules, change orders, contracts, quality assurance, and budgets
  • Ensure project documentation and approvals for stage gate processes
  • Develop status reports and project control documentation
  • Assist in tracking and reporting man hours
  • Prepare internal review reports and present at project review meetings

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred: Oil and Gas construction experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling software
  • Proficient with spreadsheets, Microsoft Excel, and Word
  • Understanding of forecasting, SPI, CPI, PF, and EV calculations in P6
