Battlefield Equipment Rentals in Brandon, MB is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician Level 1 to service and repair rental equipment. This full-time, on-site role offers $22.00–$25.00 hourly, depending on experience, and a supportive team focused on safety and reliability.

You’ll perform oil changes, inspections, and routine servicing, maintain documentation, and work with a close-knit service crew to keep fleets ready for projects across Canada.

Formación

• Hands-on mechanical experience with maintenance tasks and repairs.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a field service role.
• Ability to work in a team and handle multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
• Physically capable of regular lifting up to 50 lbs and endurance for shop duties.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic digital record-keeping.
• Safety-minded with a focus on environment and company policies.
• Customer-focused communication to support equipment users.
• Experience operating forklifts is a plus, CAT equipment knowledge is a bonus.
• Owns and maintains personal tools required for the role.

Responsabilidades

• Clean, wash, and inspect rental construction equipment as part of daily operations.
• Complete quality assurance inspections to ensure equipment is safe and functional.
• Test and operate construction equipment, assess condition and identify issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks including oil changes and filter replacements.
• Maintain and update required documentation, inspections, and data entry.
• Keep shop, yard, and branch areas clean and organized.
• Load and unload customer rental equipment as needed.
• Assist other technicians and service team members.
• Perform other duties to support branch operations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive work environment.
• Follow safety protocols and environmentally sound practices.
