DECIEM | THE ABNORMAL BEAUTY COMPANY seeks a PLC & Automation Controls Specialist for its Eastside Manufacturing Facility in Etobicoke. The role focuses on designing, programming, troubleshooting, and optimizing industrial automation systems to ensure safe, reliable manufacturing operations.

The on-site position requires extensive PLC/HMI expertise across multiple brands and hands-on maintenance of equipment, instrumentation, and SCADA systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience programming and supporting industrial automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Equivalent combinations of education and relevant industrial automation experience may be considered.
• Experience with Siemens, Mitsubishi, Rockwell, and Beckhoff PLCs/HMIs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, electrical controls, instrumentation, sensors, drives, servo systems, and communications networks.
• Support equipment breakdowns by identifying and resolving automation and controls issues efficiently.
• Modify and improve existing PLC programs to enhance machine performance, reliability, safety, and maintainability.
• Develop and maintain HMI applications to improve operator usability and diagnostics.
• Configure and support SCADA systems for monitoring, alarming, data collection and reporting.
