Job summary

Brandt Group of Companies in Kamloops (North Valley branch) is seeking a Resident Service Technician to repair and maintain Construction and Forestry equipment in a shop setting. You will diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts, and document work orders while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment preferred.
• Certified Journeyperson in the construction and forestry Equipment Technician trade preferred.
• Must be committed to customer service and service excellence.
• Must communicate effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
• Must meet physical demands and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair equipment.
• Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Use related instruments, hand and power tools, and computer systems.
• Document work orders with machine information, actions taken, and time taken.
• Ensure safety and adherence to standards while performing tasks.
• Document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis using John Deere Service Advisor.
• Locate and order parts from parts personnel using catalogs.
• Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
