Wajax is seeking a Heavy Duty Technician Apprentice (3rd/4th year) to diagnose, repair and maintain heavy equipment, engines and transmissions at customer sites or in shop environments. You will inspect components, request authorization for servicing, and document work while building strong customer relationships.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy and ongoing training with manufacturers. Compensation reflects 3rd/4th year and 4th year hourly wage, plus pension and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years work experience in heavy equipment service
• Proficient written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, analysis and problem solving

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs
• Communicate with equipment owners for authorization of servicing and repairs
• Service and repair equipment in the shop and on-site for customers
• Fill out warranty information and complete work orders
• Maintain service records and participate in health & safety training
