On-site Finance Director for Construction & Projects

MacKay Contracting is seeking a Finance Director to lead financial strategy for Western Canada projects in heavy civil construction, mining and aggregates. You will partner with Ops and executive leadership, while staying close to accounting detail for accurate reporting.

You’ll drive budgeting, forecasting, capital planning and project accounting, building a scalable finance function and controls to support growth and complex multi-entity operations.

Qualifikationen

• CPA designation and 10+ years of progressive finance experience.
• At least 5 years in senior financial leadership in construction or project-based industries.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, mining or another project-based industry.
• Strong project accounting, cash flow, financing and commercial-risk knowledge.
• Experience leading finance teams and working directly with banks, lenders, sureties or insurers.

Aufgaben

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across operations and projects.
• Improve project financial performance with monthly job-cost reviews and forecast-at-completion.
• Own cash management, banking and bonding capacity with lenders and sureties.
• Guide capital decisions and evaluate fleet investments with Operations.
• Develop robust financial reporting and internal controls for the growing company.
