Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking an EHS Specialist to lead Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives at our North Star Windows & Doors location in St. Thomas, Ontario, or Mitten in Paris, Ontario.

This on-site role champions compliance with EHS standards and location-specific goals. You will collaborate with management, develop training, and implement safety metrics, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Collaborates with management to lead impactful change initiatives and drive safety culture by implementing proactive process improvements and providing support across assigned locations.
• Provides expert knowledge and guidance to foster a positive health and safety culture and effectively manage occupational risks.
• Develops, implements and updates EH&S policies, procedures, and safe work instructions to ensure compliance.
• Develops EH&S training to maintain regulatory compliance for locations and organization.
• Implements safety metrics and reporting to leadership to drive improvement.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with management to drive proactive safety improvements.
• Supports investigation of EH&S incidents and implements corrective actions.
• Monitors regulatory changes and advises on required actions.
• Assists with external audits and corrective actions.
• Acts as SME for the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
