Job summary

Precision Drilling Corporation is seeking a Journeyman Millwright – Equipment Systems to install, maintain and repair drilling rig equipment at our on-site location. You will work with mechanical systems, read complex drawings, and mentor apprentices while prioritizing safety and reliability.

The ideal candidate holds a Red Seal Journeyperson Millwright, has rig experience preferred, and holds a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Registered Red Seal Journeyperson Millwright with drilling rig experience; 2+ years of rig experience is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license with clean abstract; comfortable operating a ¾-ton service truck.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics; perform precision measurements.
• Experience operating hydraulic pulling equipment and oxy-acetylene/oxy-propane cutting and heating equipment.
• Safety-focused, self-motivated team player with strong communication, able to pass pre-employment fitness and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics to install, assemble, and repair drilling rig equipment.
• Install, align, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain rig equipment and mechanical systems.
• Operate cranes, loaders, forklifts, and other lifting equipment to move machinery and components.
• Perform preventative maintenance, lubrication, and component replacement for reliability.
• Mentor apprentices and promote safety culture; participate in on-call/overtime as required.
