Job summary

Yukon Hospital Corporation seeks a Registered Nurse for the Dawson City Community Hospital. The role is a regular full-time, on-site position (1.0 FTE) with duties spanning inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care.

The unit emphasizes planning, education, and high-quality nursing care under the physician's orders. The candidate should hold a nursing diploma/baccalaureate, be Yukon-registered, CPR-certified, and have 2–3 years of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
• Current Yukon RN registration and CPR certification
• Valid Yukon Driver’s License
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate
• ACLS/NRP/TNCC desirable
• 2–3 years of acute care nursing experience (EMERGENCY nursing a plus)

Responsibilities

• Administer and implement medical and therapeutic programs as ordered by the physician.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans and discharge plans.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient/emergency care and assist with planning and evaluation of patient care.
• Contribute to a comprehensive family service and support unit operations.
