Job summary

Teck Resources Limited at Trail Operations, Trail, BC, seeks a motivated, fully certified Third Class Power Engineer to operate boilers and assist production, reporting to the Shift Leader. You will work in a small team with a strong emphasis on safety and environmental rules, maintaining plant performance and solving process issues.

A High School Diploma, WHMIS certification and a Third Class Power Engineer certificate are required; experience with waste heat boilers is preferred.

Qualifications

• Third class Power Engineer certificate is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proof of WHMIS certification required.
• Experience operating waste heat boilers and metallurgical processes preferred.
• Computer and mechanical skills required.

Responsibilities

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to safety and environmental rules.
• Monitor and inspect equipment to ensure safe plant operations per regulations.
• Provide operational expertise to resolve changing process conditions.
• Solve operating problems and provide production support.
• Initiate maintenance orders and perform adjustments.
