Job summary

University of Ottawa seeks Teaching Assistants for the course CHG3326, Principles of Phase Equilibria and Chemical Reaction Equilibria, to work on the Main Campus in the 2027 Winter Semester. Two positions available, January 1 to April 30, 2027, with in-person delivery and English as the working language.

Undergraduates paid at the lower rate (33.83 CAD/hr) and graduates at the higher rate (53.31 CAD/hr). Total hours posted: 130. Rates exclude vacation and statutory pay.

Qualifications

• Mandatory HR training as required by provincial law and university policy.
• B.A. Sc. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent; familiarity with Hysis or willingness to learn it.

Responsibilities

• Proctoring duties for the course (as specified).
• Other tasks and hours to be negotiated and documented by the supervising professor before start.
