Job summary

University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, NB is seeking an Equipment Operator to join the Capital Planning & Operations team. You will operate a range of heavy and light equipment to support buildings and grounds maintenance across campus.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid class 5 driver’s license with air brake endorsement, and 3+ years of diversified equipment operation experience. Overtime and on-campus work are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid class 5 driver's license with air brake endorsement.
• 3+ years diversified experience in operating equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy and light equipment (front-end loaders, backhoes, trucks).
• Perform pre-operational checks and basic vehicle maintenance.
• Deliver or move materials to campus buildings.
• Plow snow, salt and sand walkways as directed.
• Mow, rake lawns, prune trees and perform general grounds tasks.
• Load trucks and assist with excavations as needed.
