Job summary

The Wilder Institute in Strathmore is looking for an on-call Animal Care Technician. In this role, you will manage daily animal care and maintenance for a variety of species while ensuring compliance with AZA standards.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' animal care experience at an AZA accredited facility.
• Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's license is required.
• Strong knowledge in animal care, behavior, and health.

Responsibilities

• Provide and monitor diets for animals, reporting any changes.
• Administer prescribed treatments and participate in animal procedures.
• Maintain habitats according to AZA standards through cleaning.
