Job summary

Canada Post in Pokemouche, New Brunswick seeks an on-call Post Office Assistant to provide courteous counter service and postal support to customers. This casual on-call role will involve selling postal products, sorting mail, offering forms and information, and resolving delivery and service issues while upholding Canada Post values.

The ideal candidate will reside in the community, have a high school education, experience with public interaction, and the ability to lift up to 50 lb;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or provincial equivalency.
• Experience interacting with the public in a retail/service environment, including sales and cash transactions.
• Understanding of general or post office accounting systems.
• Physically fit to lift mail containers up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail and stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to be available for temporary, on-call work.
