Job summary

Paladin Security is seeking an On-Call Healthcare Core Guard in Wainwright, AB. The role involves patrolling the hospital premises during nights, reporting to Security and Nursing staff, and ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.

The position requires a High School Diploma, ability to walk long distances, and flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and days. First Aid/CPR Level C certification and a valid Class 5 license are favorable assets.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School Diploma.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Basic Computer Literacy required.
• Ability to walk 18–20 km/day.
• Will provide 3 professional references upon hire.
• G Class driver's license is asset but not required.

Responsibilities

• Report changes to Security and Nursing staff.
• Log and report incidents from hospital staff, physicians, patients or visitors.
• Patrol interior and exterior, directing disruptive individuals to leave.
• Monitor risks such as unlocked doors, blocked exits, or mechanical issues.
• Use 2-way radio and maintain professionalism.
• Respond to alarms and emergency calls for assistance.
• Monitor cameras and events; communicate clearly with staff.
• Provide information about the facility as requested by personnel.
• Maintain respectful relationships with stakeholders and visitors.
