Job summary

Paladin Security is seeking an On Call Health Care Security Guard to protect healthcare facilities, enforce safety procedures, and support clients across sites. You will patrol, monitor hazards, write reports, and respond to emergencies while maintaining confidentiality and professional conduct.

Shifts vary, including overnight and weekends. Alberta Security License is required; valid Class 5 license and own vehicle preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain Alberta Security License
• Valid class 5 license and own vehicle
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills while remaining professional with a tactful and friendly demeanor
• Authorized to legally work in Canada

Responsibilities

• Conduct traffic and pedestrian control at site access point and vehicles
• Patrol assigned areas on foot or in motor vehicle to ensure personnel, building, and equipment security
• Monitor the environment for safety infractions or hazards
• Watch for and report irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations
• Contact emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel
• Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity of data and information
• Respond to inquiries and request for information in an appropriate manner
• Utilize two-way radio and computer applications
• Demonstrates an active interest in promoting safety in the work place
• Motivates, supports, and inspires co-workers
