Job summary

Paladin Security in Alberta is seeking a Full Time On Call Health Care Security Guard to help protect patients, staff and visitors at healthcare facilities. You will perform patrols, monitor safety procedures, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

The role requires strong communication, ability to write reports, and to work varied shifts including overnights and weekends. Training provided; Paladin offers uniforms, benefits, and growth opportunities within the national company.

Qualifications

• Availability for a variety of shifts including overnights and weekends.
• Ability to obtain Alberta Security License.
• Valid Class 5 license and own vehicle.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a professional, friendly demeanor.
• Ability to write comprehensive reports and maintain site logs.
• Ability to make quick decisions while remaining calm in emergencies.
• Discretion with confidential information; ability to perform under pressure.
• Ability to walk long distances and stairs; authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure security.
• Monitor environments for safety infractions or hazards.
• Respond to emergencies and contact responders as required.
• Follow post orders and site-specific training.
• Maintain professionalism and integrity in all duties.
• Support coworkers and promote safety in the workplace.
• Utilize two-way radio and computer applications.
