Job summary

Canada Post in Aylmer, Ontario, is hiring a temporary, on-call Delivery Agent (Letter Carrier). You will start at the depot to sort and prepare deliveries, then drive a Canada Post vehicle and deliver mail or parcels on your route. The role requires working outdoors year-round and being on-call for shifts.

Applicants must have a valid Class 5 or Class G licence with a clean driving record and be able to lift/move items up to 50 lb. English and/or French proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• A valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a safe driving record for at least 3 years (driver's abstract required).
• The physical ability to lift/move mail items and work outside in all types of weather.

Responsibilities

• Start day at the depot, sorting and preparing the day’s deliveries.
• Load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle.
• Spend most of the day outside delivering mail and parcels on route.
• Return to the depot to unload the day’s incoming mail and packages for later delivery.
