Job summary

Canada Post is seeking a temporary, on-call delivery agent in Kamloops, BC. You will be the face of Canada Post in your community, ensuring customers and businesses receive mail and parcels on time.

The role requires outdoor work, a valid driver’s licence, and the ability to lift and carry items, with on-call availability and English or French language skills. Training and opportunities to advance are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid Class5 or ClassG driver’s licence with a safe driving record for 3+ years.
• Ability to lift up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• On-call availability.
• Ability to read/write/speak English and/or French.

Responsibilities

• Begin the day sorting and preparing deliveries in the depot.
• Load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle.
• Deliver mail and packages on the route by foot or vehicle.
• Return to the depot to unload incoming mail and packages.
