Job summary

RLB People is assisting a client in Guelph, Ontario, to fill a weekend relief role for a Building Superintendent overseeing a 105-unit condominium. The position focuses on on-site presence, quick responses to resident calls, basic maintenance, and coordination with contractors when needed.

You will monitor common areas, perform light cleaning, document incidents, and ensure safe, welcoming living spaces while respecting resident confidentiality. On-call schedule varies with operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Complete morning and evening walk-throughs of the building and common areas.
• Carry and answer the coverage phone, assess urgency of requests.
• Be first point of contact for emergencies and follow procedures.
• Monitor entrances, hallways, and amenities for safety and cleanliness.
• Perform minor cleaning and light housekeeping in common areas as needed.
• Maintain order in garbage/recycling areas and report concerns.
• Document incidents and handover notes for the Building Superintendent.
• Communicate respectfully with residents, visitors, and contractors.
