Job summary

Canadian Natural Resources Limited is seeking an Oil Sands Royalty Analyst in Calgary to deliver monthly OSR royalty reports, annual end-of-period statements, and audit responses. You will forecast OSR royalties and assist with new project applications, collaborating with multiple operations and finance teams.

The role requires an accounting designation or related university degree, strong Excel and ERP knowledge, and excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work both

Qualifications

  • Related University Degree and Accounting Designation are required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, and EnterpriseOne or similar ERP software.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and attention-to-detail abilities are essential.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities are expected.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment; oil and gas experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and prepare monthly OSR project royalty reports.
  • Analyze and prepare annual OSR project End-of-Period Statements.
  • Coordinate and prepare responses for OSR royalty audits.
  • Prepare OSR royalty forecasts.
  • Coordinate and prepare applications for new OSR projects and expansions to existing ones.
  • Assist in completing special projects.

You will have the unique opportunity to work with various operations and finance teams at Canadian Natural, while also broadening your oil sands industry knowledge.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Analyze and prepare monthly OSR project royalty reports
  • Analyze and prepare annual OSR project End-of-Period Statements
  • Coordinate and prepare responses for OSR royalty audits
  • Prepare OSR royalty forecasts
  • Coordinate and prepare applications for new OSR projects and for expansions to currently approved OSR projects
  • Assist in the completion of special projects
What you Bring to the Role:
