Job summary

Canadian Natural is seeking a Project Controls Engineering Student to join the Oil Sands Estimating team in Calgary. You will support asset life cycle cost data management and gain exposure to cost estimation, databases, and benchmarking across Downstream and Upstream facilities.

You will work under the Manager of Estimating, with a focus on data analysis, statistical methods, and tool maintenance. This paid student term offers real-world experience and professional development within a leading

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in Bachelor of Construction Management preferred. Engineering disciplines may also be considered.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Good knowledge of the basics of statistics and analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of cost data analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

As a Project Controls Engineering Student, you will be a part of the Oil Sands Estimating team and will assist in the support of asset life cycle cost data management. You will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of cost estimation, database, and benchmarking development. Reporting to the Manager of Estimating, you will be working with cost data of Downstream and Upstream Oil Sand Major Facilities.

  • Job location:Calgary, Alberta - Head Office
  • Work schedule:5 days on, 2 days off, 8 hours per day (Monday - Friday)
  • Term start & length:January 12 months or May 8 months
  • Safety sensitive position:Yes
