Job summary
Canadian Natural is seeking a Project Controls Engineering Student to join the Oil Sands Estimating team in Calgary. You will support asset life cycle cost data management and gain exposure to cost estimation, databases, and benchmarking across Downstream and Upstream facilities.
You will work under the Manager of Estimating, with a focus on data analysis, statistical methods, and tool maintenance. This paid student term offers real-world experience and professional development within a leading
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Bachelor of Construction Management preferred. Engineering disciplines may also be considered.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Good knowledge of the basics of statistics and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of cost data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Data analysis and normalization.
- Database development and organization.
- Probability and statistical analysis.
- Develop key metrics for conceptual estimating and benchmarking.
- Labor productivity analysis.
- Maintenance of estimating tools and templates.
