Oil Plant Operator – Local Position (50km from Grande Prairie)

Schedule: 10-hour days | 8 Days On / 6 Days Off

Location: Local to Grande Prairie (No Camp – 50km Radius)

About The Opportunity

GrizzlyTrek Group Ltd. is hiring an experienced Oil Plant Operator to support the daily operations and maintenance of a local plant near Grande Prairie. This is a long-term, stable opportunity to work close to home with a company committed to professional growth, safety, and Indigenous community inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain plant equipment, focusing on high efficiency and adherence to safety protocols
• Experience with Amine and Sulfur Recovery Units is highly regarded
• Utilize and respond to control systems, alarms, and instrumentation deviations promptly and effectively
• Diagnose and resolve process and mechanical issues to minimize downtime
• Support planning and execution of regular maintenance and outage schedules
• Participate in drills and incidents with high safety awareness and readiness
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation of plant operations and performance metrics
• Work closely with engineers, technicians, and support teams to ensure seamless operations
• Contribute to safety and operational improvements through feedback and proactive suggestions
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff in alignment with GrizzlyTrek’s mentorship culture

Who You Are

• You bring hands-on experience in oil and gas plant operations, with a strong preference for sour gas handling
• Familiarity with oil battery operations, including pump jacks, plunger lifts, and related equipment is a significant asset
• You have a strong safety mindset and a track record of reliability in field operations, especially in high-risk environments
• You are comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative, fast-paced operations team
• Reside within commuting distance of Grande Prairie – this is a local position with no camp or fly-in arrangements
