Job summary

DOF Canada is seeking a Cost Controller to join our Finance team. This role focuses on developing and maintaining OPEX and CAPEX budgets and forecasts for our offshore vessels, ensuring accurate cost capture and timely reporting.

The successful candidate will hold a university degree in business administration or finance and have 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong Excel skills, and a process‑driven, team‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Business administration or Finance.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a related position, preferably in the energy and offshore marine environment.
  • Experience in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Process oriented with attention to detail.
  • Team oriented and flexible.
  • Ability to work under pressure and extended hours when required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain OPEX and CAPEX budgets and forecasts for vessels.
  • Ensure all costs are captured and recorded correctly.
  • Perform cost analysis and advise management on cost overruns in a timely manner.
  • Revise cost estimates at the end of every reporting period.
  • Ownership and contribution to the development of the cost control function, routines and procedures.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, weekly, and ad‑hoc financial reports.
  • Other relevant duties/task as assigned by Vessel Managers, Finance Manager, Operations Manager or General Manager.
