About Blue J
Blue J is a technology company that has built the leading solution in generative AI for tax experts. Our cutting-edge, AI-driven tax research software is the best in the market, delivering deeper, more efficient research answers for accountants and lawyers across North America and the UK.
We’re also an award-winning workplace whose success is intimately tied to our values-driven culture. We care deeply about our team’s experience at work, and our People team is obsessed with fostering and maintaining a collaborative, performance-driven, and happy environment for everyone who works here.
We’re thrilled to have just opened a stunning new office in downtown Toronto, and we’re looking for an
Office and People Experience Manager to own the in-person, hybrid, and remote experience of our distributed team.
The Opportunity
As our Office and People Experience Manager, you’ll report to our Chief of Staff, Rose Duggan, and work closely with our People team (Director of Talent Acquisition, Deb Goldfarb, and Talent Acquisition Manager, Lavita Mascarenhas).
Your biggest responsibility is making sure every Blue J employee’s experience is seamless. You’ll be in our Toronto office every day, ensuring things are running smoothly and people have what they need to do their best work—fridges and supplies are stocked, coffee is flowing, and the space is optimized for productivity and positivity.
You’ll also oversee our satellite office in Kitchener (ideally visiting once a month), and ensure that hybrid and remote team members feel equally included through programming and events that are meaningful and fulfilling.
As a member of the People team, you’ll contribute to people-ops projects such as onboarding and off boarding, event planning and coordination, managing our culture calendar, supporting our employer brand, and addressing ad-hoc employee needs. Roughly half of your time will be spent on office and employee experience, and the other half on people operations and administration.
We’re looking for someone who anticipates needs before they arise, pays attention to the small details that make a big difference, understands what motivates people, and knows how that engagement drives business success. You're highly organized, keep your promises, and understand that great culture is often built on well-executed administrative processes. If you see something that could make people’s lives better—you jump in and do it.
You’re excited to join a scaling company where scrappiness and a solutions-focused mindset are key. You want to see the direct and immediate impact of your work, and you’re eager to grow your career in People Administration/Operations.
