Top Gum North America is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to maintain clean general use areas within a GMP-regulated manufacturing facility. You will ensure sanitation of bathrooms, lunchrooms, offices and locker rooms, and assist with general maintenance tasks as needed.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, windows, washrooms, kitchens, and high-touch surfaces; maintaining sanitation records; handling cleaning chemicals safely; and reporting unsafe conditions promptly.

Formación

• Must have attention to detail and thoroughness.
• Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• Basic computer skills for records and communications.
• Previous commercial or industrial cleaning experience is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Sweep and mop floors using industrial cleaner in select areas.
• Empty trash cans.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, mirrors, doors, walls.
• Clean and dust furniture.
• Clean and restock washrooms.
• Clean and sanitize kitchens.
• Complete checklists indicating task completion and restock supplies as needed.
• Shovel snow from sidewalks and apply salt as required.
• Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or maintenance needs.
• Work with cleaning chemicals, solvents, and equipment to perform tasks.
• Prepare cleaning solutions by mixing water with detergents or acids.

The Opportunity

This position will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing general use areas such as bathrooms, lunchrooms, offices and locker rooms. Some general facility maintenance duties will also be required such as cleaning filters, cleaning walls & ceilings, cleaning machinery, painting, changing lights, yard clean-up, etc.

What Success Look Like

• Clean production areas consistently to GMP standards.
• Accurate and timely completion of sanitation records.
• Proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Safety hazards and maintenance issues are reported promptly.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitizing of high touch areas and completion of checklists indicating completion of tasks
• Advise purchaser when cleaning supplies need to be replenished
• Pick up garbage on outside of property
• Shovel snow from sidewalks and apply salt on surface
• Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance
• Work with chemicals and solvents, as well as a variety of specialized tools (scrapers, pressure washers, brushes, etc.) to complete specific cleaning tasks
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications

Qualifications

• Secondary School Diploma
• Basic computer skills

Be in manufacturing environment which can have varied temperatures and noise

Bend, walk, stand, push, pull, twist, climb stairs, and to lift on average 50 lbs.
