Job summary

Alstar Group is seeking a Job Instructions Administrator for the Calgary Shop to manage the end-to-end administrative lifecycle of the TWI JI program. The role emphasizes documentation control, trainer support, and process improvement in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of administrative experience, strong typing skills, and proficiency with GembaDocs, Scribe, and Google Workspace.

  • Proficient typing at 50+ WPM.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the end-to-end administrative lifecycle of the TWI Job Instruction (JI) program.
  • Maintains comprehensive documentation, tracking, and reporting to enhance trainer effectiveness.
  • Oversees the TWI Library to maintain integrity, security, and version control of knowledge assets.
  • Oversees Work Instruction (WI) and Job Instruction Breakdown (JIB) databases.
  • Ensures all technical submissions adhere to formatting and document control standards.
  • Performs final QC audits on all documentation prior to release.
  • Facilitates the revision lifecycle with the CWD Trainer, managing transitions from established processes to formalized Work Instructions.
  • Manages the Corporate Training Matrix, maintaining training records, schedules, and sign-offs.
  • Updates Competency forms as needed and coordinates approvals.
  • Maintains verified trainer and leader directories for targeted stakeholder communication.
  • Conducts shop visits to support trainers.
  • Tracks improvement recommendations and oversees their execution.

Highly organized and detail-oriented professional who takes ownership of job instructions, work instructions, and related documentation. Accurate, adaptable, and proactive, able to manage multiple tasks and workflows spanning weeks or months. This position is offered as a two-year term, with the potential for transition to a permanent role.
