Job summary

Sureway Construction Group is seeking a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (Off Road) for our Edmonton shop. You will diagnose, repair and overhaul heavy machinery, perform preventive maintenance and support safety programs.

Requirements include Red Seal – Off Road, 5–10 years of journeyman experience or 3rd year apprentice status, and experience with CAT ET/SIS or Komatsu. A valid tool set, reliable vehicle and CSA boots are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be a Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician with Red Seal – Off Road or equivalent.
• 5–10 years journeyman experience or 3rd year apprentice status considered.
• Off Road experience REQUIRED.
• Experience with CAT ET and SIS and/or Komatsu is REQUIRED.
• Exposure to CAT Scrapers is beneficial.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot using hydraulic and electronic schematics.
• Exceptional organization and cleanliness required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment to high standards in a timely manner.
• Conduct performance and quality checks per procedure.
• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls.
• Promote and adhere to safety program across site and subcontractors.
