Job summary

University of Guelph seeks a Coordinator, Off-Campus Student Engagement to develop and evaluate programs supporting off-campus and commuter students. You will guide transition, connect students with resources, and foster community involvement across campus and in the local area.

The role involves program delivery both in person and online, collaboration with various campus units, and recruiting and mentoring student staff.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Social Sciences, Community Development, Education, or related field.
• Minimum three years of progressively responsible experience in student affairs, student engagement, community programming, or related field.
• Commitment to Indigeneity, equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, and anti-racism.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver programs, events, workshops, and resources for off-campus and commuter students.
• Provide individual and group support on housing searches, landlord-tenant relations, and off-campus living issues.
• Collaborate with campus departments and external stakeholders to promote awareness and participation.
• Coordinate program administration, planning, assessment, reporting, and strategic planning.
• Recruit, train, and supervise student staff and volunteers, with ongoing coaching and feedback.
