Job description

Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital is actively seeking applicants for a Occupational Therapy Assistant/Physiotherapy Assistant. The OTA/PTA provides assistance to the Rehabilitation Services team (Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, etc.)

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Competence from the Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Assistant program required, or equivalent deemed acceptable to the hospital.
• Must possess current BLS certificate.
• One year recent PT/OT Assistant experience required or equivalent deemed acceptable to the hospital.
• Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize patient care needs.
• Demonstrated ability to perform duties independently.
• Demonstrated ability to function productively as a team member in an interdisciplinary setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge in the usage of various programs such as Cerner, Powerchart and Microsoft Office.
• Skilled with the interaction of patient and families to provide patient focused, goal-oriented care.
• Ability to demonstrate a commitment to Privacy and Confidentiality.
• Excellent attendance record and work ethics in previous positions.
  
  

Other Pertinent Conditions

• Salary per the UNIFOR Collective Agreement ($33.45 per hour - $34.61 per hour)
