AgeCare, a long-term care provider, is seeking an Occupational Therapy Aide to assist the Occupational Therapist in addressing residents' daily activity challenges and equipment needs. You will participate in care planning, perform wheelchair adjustments, and help manage inventory and training for residents under therapist supervision.
Qualifications include a Rehabilitation Therapist Diploma, strong written and verbal communication, and fluency in English.

The Occupational Therapy Aide works under the direction of the Occupational Therapist to help solve physical challenges that patients have with daily activities. They help to assist with implantation care plan, wheelchair adjustments and equipment inventory. They assist the therapist in providing additional training and education to residents in the communities in which they work. This position assists in assessing, planning, implementation, and ongoing delivery of therapy programs to encourage residents to function at their maximum potential. The key component to their job is repairs on wheelchairs/walkers and making adjustments to these to meet functional resident goals.
