Job summary

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a Casual Occupational Therapist for Queen’s Park Care Centre in New Westminster, BC. The role involves comprehensive OT assessment, treatment planning and interprofessional collaboration to support patient-centered outcomes.

You will provide education to patients and families, contribute to care planning, and document progress in accordance with BC standards. The position supports a multidisciplinary team and emphasizes quality, safety and rehabilitation

Qualifications

• Current full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
• Ability to operate related equipment including relevant software applications.
• Ability to work with an interprofessional care team.

Responsibilities

• Provides occupational therapy assessment of patient status and goals, coordinating with the care team.
• Develops short and long term goals and an evidence-based intervention plan.
• Educates patients and caregivers on self-management and health promotion.
• Collaborates with the interprofessional care team to implement and adjust plans.
• Maintains and documents patient progress and care plans.
• Supervises rehabilitation assistants and delegates tasks as appropriate.
