A relief (temporary) part-time 0.82 FTE Occupational Therapist position is available within the Community team in Kelowna. This role involves assessing children up to nineteen years old with queries related to FASD or intellectual disabilities. Knowledge of appropriate assessment tools and interventions is essential. The work schedule is Tuesday to Friday, from 08:30 to 16:30, with occasional travel within the Interior Health region.

The occupational therapist works both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program development, consultation, equipment prescription, and education of clients and caregivers to promote functional independence and health outcomes. The role also involves contributing to departmental goals, participating in quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and providing guidance to rehabilitation assistants regarding transfer of function.
