Job summary

Extendicare in Scarborough, ON is seeking Occupational Therapists for full-time, part-time, or shared roles. You will conduct community visits to assess individuals, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and develop client-centered plans to improve function.

A strong background in pediatrics is an asset, with flexible scheduling and competitive benefits. Registration with the provincial OT college, current First Aid/CPR, and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

  • Registration with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists (in good standing).
  • Accepting New Graduates; Licensed to practice.
  • Pediatrics experience is an asset.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification within the past 12 months.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to obtain a clear Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS).

Responsibilities

  • Provide community visits to assess abilities and needs of individuals.
  • Develop client-centered plans with inter-professional teams.
  • Collaborate with healthcare workers and vendors to facilitate function.
  • Maintain client records in compliance with policies and standards.
  • Engage clients with a collaborative approach to services.
